Taking Care of Your Projector and Lens
Sharp introduced in early 2008 a new industry standard professional 6,000 lumens projector called the XG-P610X 3 CHIP DLP® HIGH BRIGHTNESS PROFESSIONAL PROJECTOR FOR LARGE VENUES. This projector is truly professional grade with six lens to accommodate most any situation. The projector incorporates Texas Instruments' DLP® 3 chip providing excellent image quality and high brightness sufficient to deliver a clear picture under difficult light conditions.
This breakthrough in the lumen ceiling has been sought after by many manufacturers over the years and others will surely follow as the nature of competition demands ever increasing standards by those who intend to compete in the technology arena.
Coupled with such a high brightness output is the ability to pull back from the 6,000 lumens high output to a lower luminosity in order to extend the lamp life or should we say lamp lives of the projector. When light interference can be reduced or eliminated, there is no need to run the projector at its highest luminosity and since there are two lamps in the projector which accounts for the high lumens, and associated potential replacement costs, the ability to extend lamp life is a very welcomed characteristic of the XG-P6103X 3 projector.
The six lens and their ability to be operated manually or remotely allows for a wide variety of projector installation choices without distortion or having to stand on a chair to make adjustments.
The projector provides the usual wide variety of inputs although it only boasts one HDMI connection as Sharp like many other major manufacturers are slow to incorporate multiple HDMI connections although consumers are seeking more connections of this type. For more information on the all important developments in component connectivity see DVI to HDMI Cable.
Remote Access and Control Software is available with the XG-P610X through its LAN connection and Web server providing desktop control to the projector without special software. The XG-P610X is backed by a two-year parts and labor limited warranty.
Now the important part, pricing. The XG-P610X models are not modestly priced and start at the MSLP of $14,995 and up. However, you get what you pay for in performance and versatility.
